Membership consist of professionals affiliated with public and incorporated private non-profit animal welfare organizations within the state of North Carolina and membership is open to non-profit 501(c)(3) and municipal animal welfare and spay / neuter organizations (exclusive of for-profit veterinary clinics). The membership is an annual general membership with a standard fee established by the NCAF Board. All memberships are subject to the review and discretion of the NCAF Membership Committee.
A membership application must be completed and submitted to the NCAF Membership Committee. Applications will be accepted through mail or email. All applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee for recommendation to the NCAF Board for approval. Once approval has been made the Membership Committee will notify the applicant, collect the membership fee and provide introductory information and next steps to most effectively contribute to the NCAF Mission.

The mission and purpose of the North Carolina Animal Federation is to advance leadership through collaboration, professional development, legislative participation and education for animal organizations in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Animal Federation was formed November 2006, for the purpose of uniting North Carolina Animal Welfare Organizations and their Professionals to exchange ideas and information while working collectively to elevate the standard of care and level of knowledge related to animal welfare in the state of North Carolina. NCAF is comprised of animal care and control agencies, animal shelters, humane societies, spay and neuter industry professionals and other groups involved in animal welfare across the state.
